Type 1 - Early-style Gemini/Apollo flight jacket

LIMITED RUN ONLY -  These jackets are built from the ground up using historic examples to recreate the original "Type 1" NASA Flight Jacket, exactly as they were worn by Gemini, and Apollo astronauts & crews.  

All facets match the original Type 1 jackets exactly: including single-piece woven cuffs, exposed sleeve zipper, khaki colored main zipper, original new-old-stock nickel pocket snaps, custom dyed vintage lining fabric, and a soft non-water resistant shell fabric that is indistinguishable from the original. 

THESE JACKETS FEEL GREAT RIGHT OUT OF THE BAG!

Each jacket comes with a vintage-style "Type 3" NASA logo patch sewn on.  These are embroidered on original machinery with vintage materials, matching the originals in every way (a $25 value alone).  Also sewn to the jacket is a piece of Velcro Brand loop tape for your name badge and wings on the right chest, as worn originally by NASA astronauts (and we now make custom vintage-style leather wings AVAILABLE HERE).

Superb

I have collected original and reproductions flight jackets for a few decades now. This Type 1 jacket is really terrific. Luna nailed the color and all of the details are excellent, lightweight but stout. Great features and materials abound. Most importantly........very authentic. If hesitating....don't. From the moment you pull it out of its gorgeously crafted tote bag, this jacket stands out as the highest fidelity replica NASA flight jacket on the market. Amazing Piece of Wearable Memorabilia

This jacket looks like it could have been found in a forgotten box in a back room at NASA. It is THAT good. And the fit is perfect. I had thought to go down a size to achieve that “slim look” of the originals, but this jacket fits just as I had hoped. Luna Replicas really hit it out of the ballpark with this project.

Hoping to see more along these lines in the future (maybe a light blue Gemini/Apollo flight suit, please and thanks?)

Not to be corny but they are out of this world!

These jackets are breathtaking. Everything is perfect right down to the fit. Zippers, snaps, patch... everything is perfect. Thank you to Luna Replicas for such pain staking research into the details. Now stop producing amazing products or else I’ll go broke!!!
