Type 1 - Early-style Gemini/Apollo flight jacket
LIMITED RUN ONLY - These jackets are built from the ground up using historic examples to recreate the original "Type 1" NASA Flight Jacket, exactly as they were worn by Gemini, and Apollo astronauts & crews.
All facets match the original Type 1 jackets exactly: including single-piece woven cuffs, exposed sleeve zipper, khaki colored main zipper, original new-old-stock nickel pocket snaps, custom dyed vintage orange lining fabric, and a soft non-water resistant blue shell fabric that is indistinguishable from the original.

Each jacket comes with a vintage-style "Type 3" NASA logo patch sewn on. These are embroidered on original machinery with vintage materials, matching the originals in every way (a $25 value alone). Also sewn to the jacket is a piece of Velcro Brand loop tape for your name badge and wings on the right chest, as worn originally by NASA astronauts (and we now make custom vintage-style leather wings AVAILABLE HERE).

This has been on my fashion bucket list for years. If it's authenticity you're after then go for it! The Type 1 really does have 'The Right Stuff'! If you are a space enthusiast then this is a must by. And it's extremly fashionable. 10/10!

I wonder if UPS or whatever carrier had some problem with its delivery.
I was blown away from the moment I opened the box. It was enclosed in a beta cloth pouch, which is an extremely nice touch, and a nod to the A7L suit. The quality of the jacket is phenomenal, and eclipsed even my highest expectations. A must-have if you’re a space enthusiast.
