"CONTACT LIGHT," rang out in Mission Control at exactly 20:17:39 (GMT) on July 20, 1969. Grumman's proposed, designed, and built Lunar Module had just touched down on the face of another celestial object, carrying American Astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin.
As the story goes, Grumman engineers handed out these 1.25 inch "LUNAR CONTACT" pin buttons at that very moment in Mission Control, and in their facilities on Long Island, emulating the LUNAR CONTACT light on the LM display panel.
Today, Luna Replicas has recreated these buttons from an original in our collection. Feel proud to wear this pin on the 50th Anniversary, and for years to come.
Price is for one replica "LUNAR CONTACT" metal button. (Lunar glove, original pin, and boot print not included)
